Preparing for ESG Disclosures and NYSE Climate & Capital Conference Preview

On June 26, 2023, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) issued their inaugural global sustainability disclosure standards at the New York Stock Exchange, “ushering in a new era of sustainability-related disclosures in capital markets worldwide. The Standards will help to improve trust and confidence in company disclosures about sustainability to inform investment decisions. And for the first time, the Standards create a common language for disclosing the effect of climate-related risks and opportunities on a company’s prospects.”¹

Elizabeth King, President of Sustainable Finance and Chief Regulatory Officer at NYSE’s parent company ICE, was on hand for the event, and sat down with Jeff to talk about the launch of the ISSB disclosures, ICE’s sustainable finance business and background, and this year’s Climate & Capital Conference at the NYSE, hosted by ICE, Gitterman Asset Management, Accenture, and fintech.tv during climate week NYC.
